Ava Coffee was founded in 1941 by Otto Reiner. In its first years Ava catered mostly to the local institutional and Kibbutzim market. Early in the 70’s Ava started to
import and roast Specialty Coffees, then a small but qualitative segment of the industry. Today - with its modern roasting and handling facility - Ava maintains a
leading role in the Israeli growing Specialty Coffee market and carries more then 60 origins and blends.
In January 2006 a group of investors have joined Ava to create Ava Quality coffee that extends its activity to a broader variety of coffee and tea blends as well as to
products supporting the Away - From- Home coffee and tea consumption. Ava also acquired the control of La-Favorita Ltd, which is Israel's leading and only espresso
machine manufacturer.
Ava is a pioneer member of the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe and a regular member of the SCAA (the American parallel organization). Ava carries
the ISO9000:2000 certification since 1997.
Recently Ava obtained the official accreditation for importing and roasting Organic coffees.
Ava’s service and production center includes a modern equipped educational lab that offers a variety of seminars on coffee tea and flavoring subjects designated for professionals as well as for amateurs.
Ava’s Tasting Room provides Private Label customers a large selection of blends that Ava imports and roasts exclusively for them Ava’s line of products extends also to imports of Specialty Teas, Herb and Fruit Blends, Syrups and flavored Coffees.
